TALLY HO! Flying Nun’s Greatest Bits, the highly anticipated compilation is out now. In 1981, Flying Nun Records released The Clean’s “Tally Ho!” . It became the rallying cry and the start of a charge that still continues. 30 years on, ‘Tally Ho!’ seemed a fitting title for what is the first “Best Of” compilation Flying Nun Records has ever put together.
This two-disc set represents both the acts and songs that could be seen to fall in the broad category of ‘pop music’, as well as those who tested different boundaries and did not necessarily sit comfortably within the ‘popular market’.
Yet, the two discs “overlap” a great deal. Together they showcase important and creatively powerful music that remains relevant today. They present a concise experience of what Flying Nun has delivered since 1981.
Overall it’s 30 years of our very own “Greatest Bits”.

The release of ‘Tally Ho! Flying Nun’s Greatest Bits’ comes towards the end of the 30th Anniversary month, which has seen new signings to the label, new releases and tours from both old and new signings to the label.
